Strategic dealer inventory management activities and a decline in industry demand were mentioned as the reasons for this decline. The construction sector saw an 11% decline in revenues, or $758 million. At the same time, demand for light construction equipment fell by 8% globally, while the market for heavy construction equipment shrank by 1% annually.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Demand_varies_by_region\"><\/span><b>Demand varies by region<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After examining regional patterns, the Asia Pacific area showed capacity, seeing a 3% rise in demand for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.my-equipment.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/6-types-of-earth-moving-machines\/\"><b>earth moving equipment<\/b><\/a>. Nevertheless, demand fell in other areas as well. Whereas EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) had a 14% loss, South America saw a 10% decrease, and North America saw a 6% decline.<\/p>\n<p>CNH Industrial said that, in spite of the decline in sales, gross profit margins increased by 150 basis points overall in all regions of the construction business. In particular, compared to 2023, industrial volumes in the agriculture sector are predicted to drop by 15%, while sales of construction equipment are predicted to drop by 10%.<\/p>\n<p>CNH implemented strategic actions in response to the market issues, which included a 5% decrease in its paid workers in November 2023 and a reorganization of its senior leadership team in January 2024.
