A family is in grief for the loss of two loved ones following a terrible incident on Utah’s SR-39 in Ogden Canyon this past summer, which also brought up important issues regarding safety procedures in the towing sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After failing to secure a bulldozer he was transporting, 52-year-old Michael John Love, owner of Love Towing in Marriott-Slaterville, is now facing many offence counts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Richard David Hendrickson, 57, and his daughter Sally, 16, both of whom lived in Uintah, Utah, died in the ensuing collision.<\/span><\/p>\n

Love was traveling east when the bulldozer, which weighed around 32,000 pounds, escaped from his flatbed truck.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It fell onto a westbound GMC pickup truck pulling a boat after sliding off the driver’s side of the car.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Hendrickson’s wife and two other children, who were also in the car, survived with non-life-threatening injuries, he and his daughter were killed instantaneously.<\/span><\/p>\n
