In West Memphis, Arkansas, a historic development is quietly taking place that is being said to be the biggest private investment in the history of the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The tech giant Google is reportedly behind a massive $10 billion data center project filed under the name “Groot LLC,”<\/strong><\/span> though this has not been officially confirmed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of private capital investment, the project will even surpass US Steel’s Big River Steel plant in Osceola if it is completed as described in recent filings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both the tech and construction industries are already feeling the effects of the project’s size, scope, and potential impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

This project, which occupies 1,178 acres, is a whole campus of digital infrastructure rather than just a data center.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The proposal includes five high-capacity data center buildings<\/strong>, office spaces, internal roads, and a power substation that will be backed by Entergy Arkansas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project’s intended usage of water-based cooling systems, a sustainable strategy meant to increase energy efficiency, is what sets it apart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Google hasn’t made the project public yet, its scope and development approach closely resemble those of other significant data hubs that the business has supported throughout the world.<\/span><\/p>\n
