In a major expansion, Indiana police have uncovered a massive theft scheme that involved trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment that had been stolen throughout several states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With recovered assets estimated to be worth over $500,000, this case illuminates a larger criminal network that extends into Illinois and Missouri and several Indiana counties.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, which is in charge of the investigation, this case is far from over and more victims are expected to come to light as the investigation continues.<\/span><\/p>\n

After reports of an increase in heavy equipment thefts in Jasper County surfaced about a month ago, the investigation got underway.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Investigators were able to locate a property in nearby Putnam County because of GPS tracking that was installed on some of the stolen equipment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They discovered a treasure trove of stolen equipment<\/a><\/strong>, items that had been taken from different counties in Indiana as well as other states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following this discovery, a multi-agency effort was launched to fully untangle the massive case.<\/span><\/p>\n
