Volvo Dynamic Drive analyzes incline, wheel speed, and payload, allowing the truck to skip inefficient gears and choose the most efficient one for the situation. This reduces fuel consumption, which is commonly lost during excessive shifting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terrain Memory adds another layer of intelligence by detecting slick sections of haul roads and automatically adjusting differential locks to prevent wheel slip.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Volvo Engine Brake enhances control during descents by combining wet brakes on all wheels, cruise control, downhill speed control, and a service brake retarder. Cycle times are further reduced and fuel efficiency is increased with OptiShift with Reverse by Braking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the A60 has a maintenance-free rotating hitch that is positioned higher for better ground clearance and stability, as well as reinforced axles designed to withstand larger loads and higher torque. Due to easier servicing and longer service intervals than the previous generation, Volvo projects a five percent decrease in maintenance costs over 12,000 operating hours.
