Your next lifting project deserves the right equipment, capacity, and rental support. MY-Equipment is preparing two Tadano mobile cranes, 80-ton and 100-ton, for upcoming rental opportunities in Houston and across Texas.
Two of the hardest-working rough terrain cranes in our fleet, a 100-ton Tadano GR-1000XL and an 80-ton Tadano GR-800XL have rolled back into our Houston yard after finishing their rental projects. The GR-1000XL wrapped up a short-term rental here in Houston. The GR-800XL came home from a long-term rental, also in Houston.
Both machines are now going through maintenance and inspection, and once our crew signs them off, they arre available for booking again. If you are planning a lift anywhere in Texas, this is your window; good cranes in this class don’t sit in the yard for long.
Two Cranes, Two Jobs, Both Finished Properly
The 100-ton GR-1000XL went out on a short-term rental, the kind of job where a contractor needs serious capacity for a defined set of picks and can’t afford a machine that shows up tired. It did the work, came back, and went straight onto our maintenance list.
The 80-ton GR-800XL had the longer assignment. Long-term rentals are where a crane proves itself. Any machine can behave for a week. Holding up through a long project, in Houston heat, on real ground conditions, is a different test, and this one passed it the way Tadano RT cranes usually do: quietly, without drama.
Neither crane is an unknown quantity anymore. Both have fresh, proven hours on Houston job sites, and both are now being serviced and inspected before the next booking takes them back out. That’s not a sales line. That’s the sequence, and it never gets skipped here.
Meet the Machines

A quick note for the spec-sheet readers: Capacity class is only the starting point. What a crane can actually lift at your radius, with your boom length, is a load chart question, and we’ve written a plain-English guide on exactly that: how to read a Tadano load chart before you sign anything. For manufacturer-level detail, Tadano’s own published specifications for the GR-800XL series are available from Tadano’s official spec sheet (PDF).
Still deciding which of the two fits your work? We compared them head-to-head in GR-800XL or GR-1000XL: building an efficient RT crane fleet.
From Rental Return to Job-Ready: How We Prepare Our Cranes
Here’s what a returned crane goes through at MY Equipment before it earns its next booking:

-
- A full walk-around inspection of the structure, boom, wire rope, hook block, tires, outriggers, and hydraulics. If it moved, lifted, or leaked, it gets looked at.
- Service and maintenance, fluids, filters, wear items, and anything the inspection flagged are handled before the machine is offered to anyone.
- Safety and compliance checks and crane inspections aren’t a courtesy; they’re a regulatory obligation under OSHA’s construction crane rules, 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC. We treat them that way.
- A final rent-ready sign-off: the crane doesn’t go back on the rental line because it looks clean. It goes back when our crew says it’s ready to work.
Why does this matter to you?
Because the cheapest crane rental in Texas is the one that shows up ready and stays ready. A crane that breaks down mid-project doesn’t just cost you a day rate; it costs you a crew standing around, a missed pick window, and a schedule that slides sideways. Every one of our crane rental services in Texas runs on the same principle: inspected before it leaves, so it performs after it arrives.
What to Have Ready Before You Call
You don’t need a finished lift plan to start the conversation; that’s partly our job. But the quotes get faster and sharper when you can tell us:
- What you’re lifting, the load’s weight, and rough dimensions
- How far and how high, your best estimate of radius and lift height
- Where the site is located and what the ground is like
- When, and for how long. start date and short-term or long-term
- Access, tight gate, congested plant, open field? It changes the setup
Not sure whether your lift even needs a machine in this class? Start with our guide on how to decide whether a project needs a standard or heavy-lift crane, then call us and we’ll sanity-check the numbers with you.
Book It Before It’s Out on Another Job
That’s not pressure. It’s just how this class of crane moves. The GR-1000XL came home from a short-term job; the GR-800XL came home from a long one; both are getting serviced right now so the next contractor gets a machine that’s proven, inspected, and ready to earn.
If you need a 100-ton mobile crane rental in Houston or an 80-ton rough terrain crane anywhere in your upcoming plans, contact us before the maintenance bay doors open and they are gone again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is an operator included?
No. These are bare crane rentals, so you will need to arrange a certified operator. We hand the crane over well maintained, and regular maintenance during the rental period is the renter’s responsibility.
Can I rent just one of the two cranes, or do they go out together?
Either way. The GR-1000XL and GR-800XL are rented individually, take one, or take both if your project needs two machines. There’s no pair-only condition.
Are the GR-1000XL and GR-800XL available right now?
Both cranes are at our Houston yard completing maintenance and inspection after their last rentals. Once signed off, they’re released for booking on a first-booked basis. Message us to hold your dates.
