Develon, formerly Doosan Infracore, has unveiled its latest heavy-duty excavator, the DX1000LC-7, which is designed to excel in construction and quarry operations. With advanced features and configurations, this excavator offers increased productivity, shorter cycle times, and is more efficient than its predecessors.

Productivity Features

Prioritized Boom and Swing Actions

The DX1000LC-7 allows operators to prioritize either the boom or swing action, depending on the workload. By prioritizing swing, the excavator achieves quicker movement between material and vehicles, ideal for loading vehicles at a 180-degree angle. The machine offers the maximum swing torque in its class, making it a lot more productive.

Configurations
Develon offers two configurations for the DX1000LC-7: standard and mass excavation (ME). The ME version features a shorter arm and boom, making it suitable for activities like mine reclamation. Also, the ME version may come equipped with an 8.2 cubic yard bucket, providing more capacity.

Cross Design Swing Bearing

Develon strengthened the excavator’s swing bearing with a cross design, ensuring greater strength compared to traditional ball bearings. This design choice ensures the machine’s longevity and enables operators to exert more force, resulting in improved breakout forces and increased durability.

Intelligent Boom Float Function

The DX1000LC-7 introduces an intelligent boom float function, eliminating the need for a motor grader when moving large amounts of dirt or using top-loading trucks. This function enables the operator to maintain a clear path by keeping the bottom of the bucket flat on the ground while picking up materials, making the process smoother.

Comfortable and Ergonomic Operator Environment

The excavator provides a comfortable operator environment with a heated and cooled air-ride seat that can be adjusted in multiple ways. The armrests are also adjustable, further improving the operator’s comfort. The excavator features an 8-inch touchscreen LCD panel and a push-button start for user-friendly operation.

D-Eco Power Function

The DX1000LC-7 incorporates the D-Eco Power function, optimizing hydraulic and engine power to save fuel and improve overall efficiency. With four work modes and four power modes, operators can choose the appropriate settings for different tasks. The engine complies with Tier 4 Final emissions standards, utilizing a diesel particulate filter and diesel exhaust fluid.

Breaker Filter

Operators have the option to add a breaker filter to protect the excavator when using a hydraulic hammer attachment under inadvertent hydraulic flow or pressure. This filter ensures the longevity and performance of the hammer, maintaining the excavator’s primary control valve, coolers, cylinders, and oil cleanliness.

Additional Optional Features

Develon offers various optional features for the DX1000LC-7, including a 360-degree video system with a separate monitor, a hydraulically detachable counterweight for easy transport, auto-lube functionality, two-way auxiliary hydraulic flow, cab guarding, additional work lamps, a revolving beacon, and straight travel capability

Develon Fleet Management Telematics

The DX1000LC-7 comes with unrestricted online account access to Develon Fleet Management telematics, allowing for remote machine monitoring. Dealers can utilize this system to troubleshoot clients’ equipment and provide timely reminders for preventive maintenance, ensuring optimal machine performance.

Takeaway

The DX1000LC-7 excavator by Develon introduces a range of advanced features and configurations, prioritizing productivity, efficiency, and operator comfort. With its intelligent boom float function, optimized power utilization, and additional optional features, the DX1000LC-7 is a perfect choice for heavy-duty construction and quarry operations. Operators can benefit from construction equipment that have short cycle times, better efficiency and are more durable thanks to features such as prioritized boom and swing actions, cross-design swing bearing, and intelligent boom float function.

Moreover, the DX1000LC-7 provides a comfortable and ergonomic operator environment with adjustable seating and user-friendly controls. The integration of the D-EcoPower function optimizes fuel consumption and power utilization, aligning with environmental standards.  Optional features like the breaker filter, 360-degree video system, and Develon Fleet Management telematics also contribute to improving the excavator’s performance, safety, and maintenance efficiency.
