Tadano, a well-known Japanese company making lifting equipment for so long, is now expanding its horizon in the North American market. With a range of new product lines, Tadano is all set to outshine in North America, where the construction equipment market is always blooming.

At this stage, Tadano’s new range of boom lifts will be launched in the USA and Canada, which is known as Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP).

These devices elevate Tadano’s renowned lifting capabilities into a completely new category and are designed to withstand the demanding requirements of a variety of jobsite environments.

Are you all ready to experience a revolution in lifting equipment technology?

Why is Tadano launching its product line in America?

The reason why America is in the hit list of Tadano for launching its new product line is basically a reflection of its strategy.

Tadano Americas saw an opportunity to enhance its growth by introducing new product lines that complement its existing success, said Erik Elzinga, vice president of AWP business development for Pan-America operations.

Tadano is introducing Japanese engineering in North America

After years of engineering and design development, Tadano’s MEWPs are constructed in Japan.

Both wheeled and crawler chassis versions of these machines will be available, allowing contractors to select the best option for their particular work conditions, whether those conditions include negotiating muddy, uneven terrain or working in more constrained, delicate spaces.

Tadano’s recent strategic achievements, such as Manitex International and Nagano Industry Co., Ltd., a renowned brand in crawler boom lifts, are also responsible for the new MEWP line.

Through these purchases, Tadano is now able to offer an advanced, specially designed product to the American and Canadian markets by fusing its decades of lifting knowledge with Nagano’s unique crawler boom lift technology.

We have a solid foundation due to our extensive experience with aerial crawler or even in mobile crane for sale work platforms in Japan, Elzinga stated.

To promote further growth, Tadano is now strategically introducing Nagano’s technology and our own in-house innovations to the market.

What models of crawler boom lifts made for difficult terrain?

Tadano’s crawler boom lifts are especially designed to withstand challenging ground conditions, such as muddy, sandy, or sloping terrain, because of its steel tracks with gray non-marking pads and maximum 5-degree tilt capability.

A closer look at the models in this series is provided below:

The AS-58CJ has a jib, a 40-foot-2-inch outreach, and a platform height of 57 feet 9 inches. It functions with a travel position ground pressure of 6.86 psi and has two platform capabilities of 750 lbs. and 550 lbs.

AS-58C provides a longer outreach of 50 feet 6 inches and a slightly higher platform height of 58 feet 1 inch. It is perfect for bigger lifts because it has two capacities: 990 lbs. and 550 lbs. A 32-hp Kubota D1803 engine powers it, and its ground pressure is 5.8 psi.

AS-42CJ provides improved positioning in difficult-to-reach regions and operates with a maximum platform capacity of 550 lbs. It uses 6.77 psi ground pressure.

AS-42C is a multipurpose mid-range telescopic type that comes with a platform height of 41 feet 8 inches and an extent of 36 feet 9 inches. It has a 23.5-hp Kubota D1305 engine and can run on two platforms.

AS-32C is small but strong, with a platform height of 31 feet 10 inches and an outreach of 25 feet 11 inches. It can support up to 440 pounds on the platform and has a 19.3-hp Kubota D1105 engine.

EAA-22C is a small articulated electric boom lift, which can operate for up to three days on a single charge, is revolutionary for interior and urban tasks.

With a platform height of 22 feet 4 inches, an extension of 14 feet 9 inches, and a capacity of 330 pounds, it can operate with zero emissions and rotate continuously in a 360-degree circle.

Wheel boom lifts are for heavy duty tasks

Tadano’s wheeled chassis telescopic boom lifts introduce Japanese-style engineering to more conventional workplace configurations.

These versions, which have solid or foam-filled tires for easy navigation of industrial terrain, are made for long-term performance and durability.

AS-69J is high-reach variant that has an outreach of 54 feet 10 inches and a platform height of 68 feet 7 inches. It offers more positioning and precise maneuvering options when equipped with a jib.

AS-63HD is designed for heavy-duty applications, this exceptional model boasts a 62-foot 8-inch platform height and a hefty 2,200-lb. platform capacity.

It can support up to ten persons by combining the strength of an RT scissor lift with the reach of a boom lift. Automatic 4-motion control and 360-degree continuous rotation are examples of advanced functionality.

Surprisingly, at Bauma 2025, Tadano’s AS-63HD will also make its public premiere, providing attendees with an up-close and personal look at this formidable machine.

It will be on display at Booth FS.1205, where Tadano product specialists will be on hand to respond to inquiries and go over its features.
