In the construction and equipment sector, Bobcat is a well-known brand. It continues to produce dependable tools and accessories to help contractors complete even the most difficult construction tasks.

The generator must run the heavy machinery, particularly in isolated areas. In order to supply sufficient power to operate the equipment, Bobcat has now introduced a fully functional portable generator. The PG1140 portable generator was introduced in January and is appropriate for all complicated and large-scale projects.

Constructed for Cold-Weather Performance, Output, and Reliability

The PG1140 runs without exhaust gas recirculation and is propelled by two Tier 5 Final Cummins X15 engines. The generator can operate dependably in challenging conditions, including temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius, due to this design, which eliminates the requirement for a minimum load. This can have a discernible impact on planning and uptime for contractors operating in colder climates.

Bobcat claims that the generator efficiently combines power output while reducing setup and transportation expenses by integrating two PG570 units into a single 48-foot trailer. The unit is appropriate for energy-intensive operations of heavy construction equipment because of its oversized alternator, which supports steady power delivery and manages applications with high motor starting demands.

Does it streamline with site operation and give extended runtime?

Another feature that sets the PG1140 apart is its fuel capacity. The generator can run for more than 27 hours at a 75 percent load with more than 4,900 liters of onboard fuel and 350 liters of diesel exhaust fluid. This longer runtime helps maintain operations during long shifts or remote projects by lowering the frequency of refueling.

Bobcat has prioritized usability and safety from the standpoint of site management. Modular safety railings and ladder access help protect operators during operation and maintenance, and the trailer’s high ground clearance enhances mobility over uneven terrain. Daily use is made easier by ground-accessible switchgear and controls, and the trailer’s ability to transport power distribution equipment like cabling and spider boxes eliminates the need for extra transportation.

It provides enough power and is flexible applications

With a link board panel that enables flexible voltage configurations, the PG1140 can deliver 912 kW at a frequency of 60 Hz. Access to shore power for battery chargers and block heaters enhances startup reliability and cold-weather operation. When combined, these characteristics make the generator a viable option for contractors who require flexible, high-output power without complicating the site.

With the PG1140, Bobcat keeps concentrating on machinery that boosts output while tackling practical issues like runtime, operator safety, and transport efficiency. The new generator is a clear step toward integrating power and functionality into a single portable solution for high-demand jobsites.
