The CAT 140, which includes models such as the 140M, 140G, 140H, is an elite motor grader that is often used in construction projects to create smooth, level surfaces and is commonly used for work such as dirt and gravel road repairs and construction. Machinery in the CAT 140 range improves grader accuracy whilst lowering operating costs.
Precision steering
Over 45 years the steering capabilities of the CAT 140 has been refined to deliver a steering control design that can be customised to produce different steering experiences. Controlled steering allows grading projects to be completed more accurately and precisely. The AWD (all-wheel drive) steering option can assist with manoeuvring the machinery, ensuring it has enough traction to be able to perform well in adverse weather conditions.
Features and performance
The CAT 140 models are designed with features to improve the efficiency of motor grading. A real-time account of the cross scope blade can be viewed and scaled via the CAT cross slope, enabling automatic blade movement. The measurement reading will then deliver recommendations in terms of engine speed and gears to make the grading more efficient and improve fuel usage. The motor grader is complete with an HVAC system to ensure complete comfort for the operator.
